How long does it take for newborn eyes that really show the true color?

My husband and I are brown eyes. His are very dark, almost black and mine are brown but they are more gold-ish than anything else. My mom's side of the family with blue eyes. My daughter was born 3 weeks ago has blue eyes blue, but are not questionable, the are blue! How long do I have to wait before knowing whether they will stay that way>?
