Guar gum is galactomannan gum, a glyconutrient with a mannose backbone and galactose branches. Special water-utilizing production processes (no chemicals) now enable a partially hydrolyzed guar gum. This extremely unique fiber dissolves completely in water and has no taste, making it very easy to consume. Guar gum comes from the guar bean, a legume. American diets are woefully lacking in legumes, even though they are the only food type across different cultures that is associated with longevity. This fact alone makes guar gum a good fiber choice. Guar Gum Splits (Endosperm) is mechanically separated from guar seed which yields 28-30% of Refined Split.

Guar beans are harvested and dried following the growing season. The beans are shelled from the pods, the germ and hull removed. The resulting splits are wet-milled into powder. Guar Gum for Pharmaceutical Industries – Guar gum is used for laxatives, toothpaste, slimming aids, gastric hyperacidity, sustained release drugs, hyperglycemia, diabetic treatment, cholesterol, vitamin preparation because its emulsifying property reacts chemically with both oil and water and thus stabilizes oil in water.

Guar Gum for Cosmetics Industries – Guar gum powder available in special viscosities is used in ointments, lotions, tablets, hair shampoos, hair conditioners etc. because of its film forming agent quality.

Guar Gum for oil drilling, gives a better colloid thereby reducing water losses. It regulates the viscosity of mud solution, stabilizes and regulates the flow properties of the drilling muds. Guar Gum for textiles supports tremendous film forming and thickening properties when used for textile sizing, finishing and printing. Guar Gum for paper industry gives denser surface to the paper used for printing. Guar gum for water treatment is also used because it is Coagulant aid, food approved.
