A protein conditioner for breaking hair combines wheat and rice proteins to improve strength, shine and manageability. Excellent for reducing breaking or repairing damaged hair, conditioners formulated with silk proteins have become the “hottest” compliment to any hair regimen to add body, infuse moisture and increase tensile strength.
Conditioner acts as a temporary spackle that fills in chinks in the cuticle layer. This keeps strands from tangling around each other as you brush and style your hair. Conditioner also forms a protective seal around hair, which forces the cuticle to lie flat – this flat surface reflects light and makes hair shine.
At times such moisture and nutrition lost will not be able to replenish itself, at such times, it is only the conditioner that can help you with getting your hair back to normal and healthy. There are two main types of hair conditioner, one is the leave in conditioner and the other one is the wash away conditioner.
Dryness can be the result of many things beyond our control and some we can manage. Cold air, low humidity, excessive styling or the use of inexpensive hair products strip away moisture and hydration and leave hair void of body and fullness.
Rosemary Hair Conditioner
Rosemary is said to be the best source for hair growth. Also, this is an effective remedy for an itchy scalp and dandruff and making your hair much softer, manageable and smelling good.
Choosing a dry hair conditioner is not as hard as it seems, once you understand the ingredients. Without being too technical, dryness occurs due several primary factors – physiology (poor oil production), chemical treatments, harsh shampoos, heat damage from styling, and UV exposure.
Each either coat or infuse individual properties. Some can penetrate the follicle shaft and improve nutrition delivery and strength – increase protein bonds lowering susceptibility to tearing or breaking.
Nourishing hair conditioner is specifically used for dry hair and dry scalp. It has oils that don’t leave a greasy residue, but still provide enough moisture for hair to shine and look healthy.
