Well lets talk about fragrances. Fragrances have been reported to have been around in the ancient Egyptians time. There is a reference to perfumery and even perfume formulas in the Bible, women used pomegranate for there lips and would use spices and oils for their skin to make them smell nice. The fragrances today are much more refined and last longer. Some of the things used to make the wonderful scents we have today are:bergmont, melon, apple, cinnamon, green leaves, sea breeze, magnolia, violet, rose, teak,jasmine, amber, musk, lantana flower, raspberry, white muguet, lemon, sandalwood, peach, pineapple, white lily, mandarin, gardenia, rosette, camellia, satinwood, neroli, ginger, cumia, copahu wood, myrrh, vanilla, iris, neliotrope, nerolie, lime, lilac, fig, tuberose, maple wood, osmanthus, plums, orange flowers, ylang-ylang, patchouli, cloves, moss, carlgrey, honeysuckle, white pepper, orris, carnation, mimosa, juniper berry, grapefruit, tobacco, white sage, cedar, lonka bean. Fragrant product that result fron the artful blending of certain odoriferous substances in appropriate proportions word is derived from the Latin per fumum, meaning “through smoke.” The art of perfumery was apparently known to the ancient Chinese, Hindus, Egyptians, Israelites, Carthaginians, Arabs, Greeks, and Romans. Fine perfumes may contain more then 100 ingredients. Each perfume is composed of a top note, the refreshing, volatile odor perceived immediately; a middle note, or modifier, an providing full, solid character; and a base note, also called an end note or basic note, which is the most persistent. It is fitting that Heathcote and Ivory with their passion for design and attention to detail with experience in both traditional and contemporary styles and fragrances have been approached by Sanderson to launch on their behalf a bespoke Toiletries and Home Fragrance Collection.
Arthur Sanderson founded his firm in 1860. From his premises in Soho Square, London, Sanderson distributed American, French, Japanese and English products, becoming one of the leading wall covering merchants in Britain. Today, Heathcote and Ivory have a growing international market with customers in those same countries embraced by Arthur Sanderson one hundred and fifty years earlier.
The ‘Etchings and Roses’, design features three rare and beautifully engraved prints from Mulhouse which have been faithfully reproduced against a contrasting coloured background. Rebecca Craig, Design Manager at Sanderson describes the creative process undertaken,
‘This season we have designed a collection of classical botanical florals with just a hint of eastern influence to add a sense of drama. Varying scale, striking colour combinations and bold experimentation with printing technique and metallics have all contributed to the unique qualities of this timeless range of prints, jacquards and wallpapers.’
Heathcote and Ivory have worked closely with this vision of Sanderson in mind to interpret the above statement and evoke through fragrance and touch the ethos, spirit and sensuality of this exciting design.
The fragrance, a floral, fruity, citrus, powdery rose with white florals, alongside hints of gardenia and orange blossom is both elegant and exciting. The product range is gift oriented, combining the highest quality of ingredients with luxury fine craftsmanship in the packaging. The results are eye catching, simple and refined.
The heady combination of frosted tubes, gold blocked designer drums, deeply moisturizing shea butter and vitamin E, embossed soaps, fragranced fabric cushions and luxury patterned drawer liners is the successful marriage of timeless tradition and modern creativity.

Cheapest, best smelling lotion/body spray from Victoria’s Secret?
I’m going to the mall tomorrow & I’m in the market for a new lotion & spray. I don’t have much to spend on either, though. What lotions from Victoria’s Secret smell amazing to you? I love any sweet smelling things…their Beauty Rush Strawberry Fizz Spritz for example, scents like that. What do you recommend?
NO lovespell! Haha…my sister used the spray in her car all the time and the scent is just so yucky to me now.
I can’t remember the exact name but there is a fragrance there called Amber Rose, or something to that effect. Its kinda a yellow-gold color. Anyway, that’s my favorite and every time I wear it I get compliments!
